Violation of Copyright

Previously, when I knew that one of my articles was published on a website without my permission, I decided to close one eye. Just now, I saw one of my songs on another website! This is too much!!!!!

Malays (Muslims)

I had a very pleasant encounter with a Malay (Muslim) guy just now.:) He was so easy-going and so soft-spoken.:) I know that Malays (Muslims) are generally easy-going, and so that pleasant encounter didn't come as a surprise.:) In fact, Malays are more easy-going than Chinese. (At least that's true in my country.)

French

I was reading Essential French Grammar (written by Robin Adamson & Brigitte Edelston) a while ago and found out that French has (3) past tenses and that it doesn't have continuous tenses. I used to think that there are no past tenses in French, just like in the case of Bahasa Melayu. Hmmm...

歌颂友情 In Praise of Friendship

今天有两位朋友为我做了一件事,让我觉得好感动。所以我希望写一首歌献给他们(以及其他让我感动的朋友)。

Two friends did something for me today, which touched my heart deeply. So I hope to write a song dedicated to them (and others too).

American English vs British English

It seems that American English is gaining dominance over British English, even in my country. Hmmm...I think it's important to learn American English, even though I was schooled in British English.

Life 生命

I just received news that a friend's 3-yr-old son had passed away because of brain cancer. 生命的脆弱、无常,真叫人感叹。

你在囧什么2 Let's Talk 2

In the first episode of the new series, the topic was on friendship. Among the questions posed by the hosts, there was one specific question that caught my attention. It had to do with the issue of misunderstanding. Recently, I was misunderstood by someone. I tried to explain the situations that led to the misunderstanding, but somehow it seemed that my explanation had fallen on deaf ears. I wasn't trying to be defensive; I just didn't like to be misunderstood. I wonder what other people would do if they are in my shoes? Sigh...

French

In English, the word 'my' is a possessive pronoun but in French, it's an adjective (according to my French teacher). 'January' is a proper noun in English because it refers to a specific month, but it is a common noun in French.
