This morning, I had my first French lesson. :) French is not as easy to learn as Bahasa Melayu. :( My difficulty lies in pronunciation. Nonetheless, I am sure I can overcome this difficulty with more practice. :)
Pray, find no fault with the man who limps or stumbles along the road, unless you have worn the shoes he wears, or struggled beneath the road. There may be tacks in his shoes that hurt, though hidden away from view; or the burden he bears, placed on your back, might cause you to stumble too. Don't sneer at the man who's down today, unless you have felt the blow that caused his fall, or felt the shame that only the fallen know. You may be strong, but still the blows that were his, if dealt to you in the selfsame way at the selfsame tme, might cause you to stagger too. Don't be too harsh witth the man who sins, or pelt him with words or stones, unless you are sure, yes, doubly sure that you have not sins of your own. For you know, perhaps, if the tempter's voice should whisper as soft to you as it should to him when he went astray, 'twould cause you to falter too. ~~Anonymous
Dare to Dream

人因梦想而伟大。Hold on to your dreams...I am sure they will come to pass if you persevere and do not give up. :)
I am not against the influx of foreigners and new immigrants to Singapore per se. However, as a Singaporean, I am concerned that Singaporeans will soon become a minority in our country of birth. If that ever happens, will our collective voice be heard? Will our interests matter to the government? I have always been proud and am still proud to be a Singaporean. However, over the years, I have become more and more disheartened with how things are developing so much so that I am already beginning to think of emigration. Sigh...
After polling results for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC & Potong Pasir SMC were announced yesterday, I kind of felt sad for Mr Chiam See Tong, because he had served residents at Potong Pasir selflessly for the past 27 years. Furthermore, he is such an exemplary leader. It's such a pity...
I have great respect for MM Lee and SM Goh but I can't say the same for other members of the ruling party. Hence, I am all for a change of government. However, I am not in favour of an abrupt change because this will have a serious impact on the nation as a whole. Furthermore, at this present time, only the ruling party is able to ensure economic and social stability for this small nation.
Tomorrow is Polling Day. Who will get my vote does not depend on the political party that he belongs to. Ultimately, the deciding factor for me is whether the MP genuinely cares for his constituents. If he only appears to be 'active' in his constituency just before election but he is not present during Meet-the-People sessions, then I can't say that he really has a heart for the people that he is supposed to serve.
If we appreciate who we are, as opposed to appreciating ourselves for what we do based on someone else's idea of what is good, our performance in the world will come from an inspired and healthy place, rather than from one that is subconsciously seeking the approval and attention of others.
...if we were never given permission to say no when we were young, we might find ourselves consistently betraying our souls when we are older with a yes simply to be nice. A yes simply with the intention to be nice rarely does anything to honor the self, the soul, or life, and actually dos much more to put us out of alignment with it. ~~Jaia Lee (Author of Living Beyond Belief)
People who feel empowered by your presence become kindred spirits. That can only happen if they feel safe rather than attacked, secure rather than judged, calm rather than harassed.

By shifting in the middle of a weakening thought to one that strengthens, you raise your energy vibration, and strengthen yourself and the immediate energy field.
