According to my French tutor, the correct way to say 'I am feeling too hot' in French is 'J'ai trop chaud' and not 'Je me sens trop chaud' because the latter has a sexual connotation.

I was told by my French tutor that it's wrong to say 'C'est trop chaud aujourd'hui' because I am referring to weather. He also told me that I should use 'Il fait' (It makes) when I am talking about weather rather than 'C'est'.

'What day is it today?' in French is 'Quel jour sommes-nous?' 'Sommes-nous' means 'are we' and hence I find it amusing (in the positive sense). I still have the tendency to do a literal translation from English to French and that is something I need to avoid doing.
