I really hope that NCSS will step in again and do a thorough 'clean-up' at the organisation that I work at.

Food for Thought

Some charities such as the one I'm working at seem to like to employ people with 'questionable integrity', who'll resort to underhand and unscrupulous means, without thinking twice, just to get rid of someone who's upright and above board. Ironically, some of these people seem to think that despite their evil inclinations, they'll still be protected by their gods or by something else. And even more ironically, some of them still think they'll go to heaven when they exit from this world. Do they really think they can escape retribution (or bad karma) or judgement despite all the despicable things they've done and their evil inclinations???!!!

Money that has been given to the organisation I work at for the purpose of pay adjustment for social workers has never been used for the said purpose. There are so many malpractices at my workplace. Sigh... Obviously, the management has not learnt its lesson from the previous saga. I think it's time for NCSS to step in again...

Colleagues who don't deserve to get promoted get promoted anyway. Colleagues who aren't suitable to be HODs get to be HODs (because of their connections) anyway. Colleagues who don't deserve unusual increments get them anyway. All my social work colleagues (including the HOD and Deputy HOD) who aren't suitable to be social work professionals get recruited and get to stay on anyway. The very few good ones (including me) get trampled upon and/or are treated like trash!! (天理何在?)And all of these things are happening because of my ED! I'm sure he won't do the same things he has been doing at my workplace with his own company!! Why? Because if he does, he'll be making very huge losses and gaining a bad reputation for his company!

My Thoughts

There are so many troublemakers at my workplace...sigh...:( They seem to enjoy being troublemakers and making life miserable for others. Without these troublemakers, my workplace would be such a peaceful place. :) And without these troublemakers, I'd not have to waste SO MUCH precious time protecting my files, etc, etc. If my big boss would remove existing troublemakers and stop employing troublemakers, I'm sure it'd boost overall productivity and morale at work.

My Thoughts

In order for a person to work in a charity (regardless of the position), I believe that the top prerequisite is to have a good heart. Sadly and ironically, a lot of people at my workplace have hearts that are inclined towards evil (or are full of evil).

Don't assume that managers in (and managers of) charities have good hearts, because in reality, they could be a lot 'uglier' than their counterparts in the corporate world.

Workplace Bullies

If the writer I mentioned in the earlier post were to work in a non-profit organisation, he would probably be very disheartened because the bullying he might encounter in such an organisation could be many times worse than what he had experienced at his recent workplace. So, if you are aspiring to become social workers or if you are hoping to work in a non-profit organisation, please do not have the expectation that you will be working alongside angelic social workers or colleagues (non-social work colleagues).

Breaking Night by Liz Murray
