Food for Thought

With the right mindset, our students will likely find success in life, but without the right values...the success may come at the expense of society at large.

Food for Thought

Just now, a colleague actually told me she had bought a box of non-halal candies for a Muslim colleague as a farewell gift!!! I couldn't believe it! Such insensitivity!!! And she actually said it was ok!!! But thankfully, after I gave her a piece of my mind, she changed her mind.

In a multi-racial country like Singapore, we have to exercise cultural and religious sensitivity. We cannot afford to be insensitive! And Chinese especially cannot afford to be insensitive, because we are the majority in Singapore and Muslims (Malays) are the minority. Otherwise, we may disintegrate as a society.
